Pictorial session with my mom!(kakangawit sa balikat!)

this is a photo of my mom and I trying to hold my 20D like those of point and shoot and cameraphones..

ang bigat talaga..and still shooting with my 50mm f1.8 II..

My Canon 50mm f1.8 II

Wooooohhhooo! I am really loving my 50mm..It is sharper than my 18-55mm IS set at 50-55mm..and playing with its depth-of-field is fun!!I think its a high value lens at a vey low price..Imagine what you can achieve with its f1.8 opening..

Here are some pictures taken using 50mm..

Loving My Canon 50mm f1.8 II

I love to play with depth-of-field..

the way background of the subject becomes blurred..etc..etc..and use f1.8 in low-light photography, and portraiture..

This is a very cheap lens and bought it today at around $85..

Will post pictures using this lens..

Thanks

Children, children and more children!
I am just practicing my subject of interest selection skill..I know guys..I am not good enough..but still children are very good subjects to practice at.. check out more of this series..they were all taken in iso 3200 which were done in purpose-to test noise-handling of my 20D.

I Bought a Canon 20D!

Hi to all!

James Placente is starting to create blog entries!

Yeppie!

I am not really fond of blogging but I just want to post some pictures that I have taken using my DSLR!

I really love photography! But money for buying a camera was an issue for me until I realized that I had to start somewhere..from then on, I always make sure that I have something to keep from the money my parents gave me for schooling allowance..My plan was to buy a brand new camera but it was still expensive for me..I wanted a Canon 40D or 50D, they are mid-range camera or semi-pro dslrs as they call it..So sad that I limit myself from finding these models of cameras and actually telling my depressed heart, "It's not for you!Go find another one!" sighs...So, I just browsed through buy and sell websites and became loyal to www.tipidpc.com..It's a paradise for Filipinos like me who love to sell some items and buyers wait for the minty items at an affordable price..these items may come in brand new or used..try to check it out!

Anyway, so then...I typed in the keywords 40D in the items for sale category and...and...and..found nothing!no..no..no..i actually found many but I'm afraid to look at the price!!You know...the problem that I listed above this paragraph..uhmmmm...so then.. i was shocked in short!I just want to know if my money will fall on the price listed..then, I typed another item on sale, and it was 30D but the price again didn't fit to the money that I have..so I typed in 20D...i moved the page down...and down...and down...and waaaaahhhaaaalaaahh... I found something sweet..and it says there "Minty Canon EOS 20D"..

I grabbed my cellphone and texted the seller.. he responded and we were able to make arrangements for meet-ups for me to check the item..and on the next day..we met each other and then I took some shots from the camera and was pretty amazed and satisfied with its performance especially on the noise-handling (check low-light photography..and then I bought it..

So cheap that I was able to buy 2 lenses for it..the kit lens Canon 18-55mm IS which my father bought for me and gave it as a gift and Canon 50mm f1.8 II which the money that I used came from a wedding video editing sideline..

I am still pretty satisfied with my 20D's performance although its 4 years behind it younger brothers..but it is still magnesium alloy..something I am proud of..

watch out for the pictures taken using my camera and I hope that on this blog, I'd be able to see improvements at every shutter click that I make..Thanks!!
